Hydro Forming Dies

Post by Missed »

After opinions on Hydro dies

Stuck at home Hibernating and found some info on Youtube

Are they worth the mess ?

Do they cut down the costs involved in Fireforming cases ?

Do they cut down on the Longevity of the brass ?

Depends on parent case being used, fluid used and how much of a change you are applying

Depends on the case, for a standard Ackley style where the shoulder position is maintained but the angle changed I don't see much point. When the shoulder is moved forward like a Dasher there might be a few advantages and you'll end up with better cases but a false shoulder does the same thing.

It will expand the case and get near length but for less work ,less mess a 3/4 load in lapua cases and an old barrel of mthe type wanted worked the best
