G'Day all,
here are further details to yesterdays FO results for 3/5/600yds
1. W MacFarlane....................95,
98, 93.....286
2. G Hunt................................97, 94, 94.....285
3. B Kneebone.......................
97, 89,
96.....282
4. P Read...............................94, 91, 93.....278
5. R Noordeweir....................88, 90, 92.....270
6. A Fraser.............................93, 87, 90.....270
7. G Wells..............................90, 86, 89.....265
The wind was a bit tricky and futher proof that the 6x47 and 7 mm's worked well.
So much so that a famous 6.5 exponent (who recently won a barrel) is rumoured to be considering getting said barrel in 7mm after borrowing a 7mm rifle yesterday
Sorry Alan couldn't help myself
Nevertheless, it gave me more incentive to get my 6x47 built so look out when I retire the .223!
A great day and great event and a very big thanks to the organisers of the shoot; a lot of fun was had by all!

Ned,
Glad you enjoyed it, and looking forward to your 6x47's arrival.
Glenrowan certainly is an excellent event, and after talking to a few club members and officials, I'm hopeful that F-Open will become a permanent part of both OPMs.
I have the full Saturday results, but won't post them on the results page until I have Sunday's as well. In brief, Helen Davies won the Sunday agg in F-Std A, Kay Eland won (again!) in F-Std B, and I won F-Open. In the 2 day agg, Jenny Davies won (in a mother and daughter shoot-off), and of course Kay took F-Std B. The deserving winner of F-Open was Bruce Kneebone - a great effort on debut. We are getting some great new additions to F-Open and I've heard news of several more who will be giving it a try soon.
And there is truth in that rumour about the 7mm Ned, but the key word is "considering"

. The 6.5 has been pretty good to me over the last 4 years, so I'd find it quite hard to leave it in the gunsafe...
