It would be hard to go past a second focal plane Sightron SIII from their long range target line in a 10-50
https://sightron.com.au/product-categor ... 60-series/These come in at $1800-$2000
You should almost certainly get MOA because that's what almost everyone else will be using ie F Class shooters talk in minutes not mils
You should get a model with exposed turrets so you can easily dial wind.
A zero stop is nice because you do wind about 30-33 MOA elevation at 1000 yards which is more than one full turn on almost any scope. Without a zero stop you can easily get lost and wonder why nothing is hitting the target.
It's handy to have hash marks on the reticle for holding wind so I would avoid a duplex reticle model (simple crosshairs)
This looks like a good option
https://sightron.com.au/product/sightro ... ode-25176/As an alternative the Vortex Golden Eagle is what I started with and there is one here for $2250
https://www.scopedout.com.au/Vortex-Gol ... D-15-60x52For this you want the ECR-1 reticle (the other one is a duplex reticle)

Nightforce 8-32 Benchrest is the F class staple and has been for years. They are renowned for reliability. Couldn't tell you what they are worth brand new now. If you are shooting FTR they are too heavy, but for standard and open, you can't really go wrong.

Good optics, reliable, but heavy, no side focus, difficult to read turret rotations. Personally I'd go Sightron in that price range.

Based on your price range I'd opt for the Vortex Golden Eagle.
