For those that couldn't make it to Bendigo you missed some very interesting conditions.

Weather was fine each day, with a bit of heat wearing coaches down over the course of the 2 days.

I think the likes of fellow F Open coaches Lowel Tilack and Stuart Braund showed they know quite a lot about the Bendigo range, steering their shooters very well. They are both Queens winners so will be worth keeping an eye over the next few days.

Strategy was key over the two days, which saw some teams walking off the mound for up to 30 minutes at a time :-)

Unfortunately the dreaded C WORD made its impact felt on the event with NSW losing one shooter to isolation and the other suffering the lingering after effects of the bug. I wish all a speedy recovery!

A great event and well run by the VRA with Peter's good organisation.

May I say a big thankyou to Trevor Jury for always bringing his No.1 gear to the mound. His ability to perform at such a high standard allowed me to get a great handle on the conditions each range.

Unfortunately there can be only one Top Off Rifle shooter for the competition, and this time it is Alister Larmour (Iceman - cool under pressure). He was my number 5 shooter that brought the team home each range. I'm sure that if the two roles were reversed, that we could have seen a reversal of the result, as it is the No.1 shooter that is unfortunately the guinea pig that allows the coach to get a handle on conditions.

Brilliant Shooting =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

Thanks Nraa for naming a match after Cam McEwan ! It’s close to my heart and I am sure Julie’s as well! It’s great to remember such a great person and competitor . Regards Graham Dalby/ Tara rc.
