G'day Chopper,

As far as I'm aware, you will need to be a member of an NRAA affiliated rifle club and also the NRAA who supplies your SID No

See you on the mound soon!

Thank you I thought as much but not sure
Hard to find NRAA fees and clubs
Apart from Noms and membership it could be expensive?
For those that shoot 1 a year

The reason for asking was because a few members of the SSAA thought they would like to try a Kings
I have since found out it would cost with Memberships and Noms approx $700

They would need to sign up as NRAA members and be affiliated with a club to be eligible to shoot a queens/kings.

I don't want to be picky but Kings level shoots are in practice our highest level of competition in Australia. I think the reason for the NRAA stance on this is it ensures that the vast majority of attending competitors are experienced in the normal requirements for our type of competition e.g. scoring, competition rules, safety etc. Most of this experience comes from club and smaller OPMs in the NRAA environment. If they opened it up to include many more first-timers IMO it would detract from the smooth running of the event and lead to an increase in problems such as scoring errors, rules and norms not being adhered to, and associated hold-ups. This wouldn't be fair on those regular competitors who take these competitions very seriously.
