The tumbling with ball bearings are a finishing process to remove any burrs on the meplat?

Did you get the full 500 or did the contaminants make up for a few less pills

My dry moly process uses similar size bearings and they do have the effect of tidying the meplats. Maybe the "grating" is used to separate out the bearings afterwards. You would expect Berger would have found the damage, but apparently discovered it after your batch was affected.

Agreed, looks like the grating has come from a separation drum
