If you can avoid them, don't get the pins that are cut at 45 degrees. The tips are sharp and will jam in the necks of cases. Straight cut or rounded would be better.

Ok, thanks Tim. What media WOULD clean the inside, especially case with a few firings ?

I mostly use 1.2mm x 7mm pins. The 1.2 thickness is robust and when the job is done they are sufficiently weighted to clear out of the case quickly when using a media separator (hint, fill with water). The 7mm pins work well with 30 cal and decreasingly well with 6.5, 6 and 22 cases. I have been thinking of getting some 1.2 x 5mm which I think will work well with the smaller calibers.

Ok, what separater do you use ? I haven't done this before, so don't know what you mean exactly with the water.

I don't use a seperator (to tightfisted to spend the money. I tip the cases and media in a small, half filled bucket and remove them by hand 2 or 3 at a time, neck down, with a shake under the water.
If you don't use water the water tension will stick pins to the inner wall of the case.
Make sure when you start this new process that you have adequate checks to make sure you don't load a case with pins in it. I check the inside of every case before annealing, but I think im a bit unusual annealing last.
If you are using an amp check frequently to make sure you haven't dropped any pins in there.

And for $450 you're off and running. If you shop around you might be able to beat the price for the Media separator and possibly the Magnet. Note, you can make your own cleaning solution of dish washing liquid and a pinch of citric acid. I generally run dish washing liquid for one or two cycles to get rid of the carbon and lastly run the dish washing liquid with a pinch of citric acid to get a nice shine. BTW, this is where the sieve comes into its own, you can dump the liquid from the tumbler and refill without losing any pins.
