What is going on with US postage costs?! Obviously regularly looking to purchase items from the US but the postage cost is absolutely ridiculous! I've been waiting for things to come down post COVID but it hasn't happened.

Looking to bring in 6 items that would weight 200g and easily fit in the palm of your hand. They want $100-$137USD. This is for something worth $40.

I've actually started purchasing items off of eBay UK, even through they are made in the US, because the total cost is less to go from manufacturer, to distributer in UK and then posted to Australia.

Standard small parcel rate out of USA to Aus is USD$74
Buy extra items and sell to others to spread the shipping cost is one idea.
And no, rates are not going to go down

It's about the same to ship from Aus to US too.

So why so much cheaper to go from the US yo UK and then to Australian? Long way around and postage is 1/4 the price.
