Nick,

this question is likely to result in a number of different answers from various people.

Have a look at the rifle sa store's website here:

http://www.riflesa.asn.au/store.htm These are excellent prices.

Here's what I would recommend.....Just for the record, I'm not interested if people disagree with me as this is my opinion 8)

In order to reload quality ammunition u will need these basic items:

Press - Redding or RCBS are good brands (Big Boss or rockchucker)

Sizing & seating dies - Redding bushing dies are great (type-s dies). I dont use competition seaters. I dont think they are necessary if you can measure your seating depth and rifle chamber that is. The redding dies offer good versatility thru the use of bushings.

Priming tool - most presses will have the ability to prime cases however the Lee Auto prime is a good hand held tool. Cheap, and mine has lasted 7yrs and is still going strong.

Beam scales - RCBS or Redding scales are excellent.

If you are a novice reloader, the best way to learn is to spend time reloading with a someone who has all the gear and experience. That way, u will learn to understand the process of case preparation and matching ammunition to your rifle using a systematic process. It is half the fun of long range shooting!!!

yea a few people have said to try and get in with someone that has experience in reloading and learn from them. Well that gives me a start on things and a bit more of an insight.
Lets hope all things go well from here

cheers simon
