LOADS FOR 223

Hello
fclass shooters,i just got my ruger target 223 rebarrled with a rem stainless steel 26 inch barrel in 1 in 8 twist. and add a rail for my new davies bipod (thank you alan davies).
now i need some loads for sierra 80 hpbts and 69 hpbt for my faster twist barrel.my old one was a 1 in 9 twist , it suffered a ruger burn out.
my friendly gunsmith has given me the cartridge o.a.l measurements.
sierra 69 hpbt is 60mm and the sierra 80 hpbt is 63.25mm.
so any help would be great from my follow shooters.

Hi Barry, i have a 223 with a 1:8, 24inch barrel so is a little shorter than your new barrel. I use 24.5gn of 2208 with the sierra 80's with 20thou off the lands. this takes me supersonic at 900 yds, but gets the wobbles up at a 1000. if you want to use 2208, i reckon you need to work up to this and a little more if u can carefully. being an unblueprinted action (i presume) use br4 primers (as strong as you can get) and beeeee careful.
I wouldn't worry about developing a load for for 69gn sierra's as an old mate said to me "you'll just be complicating matters" however if you can get the 80gn Amax, develop them as they should be a bit better projectile.
sorry that i dont have anything yet for 2206h powder, but as soon as i get some Amax projectiles and powder, in she'll go...

G'Day Barry,
I have a 26" x 1:8" Truflight barrel on an accurised Rem700, I shoot this in F open only with Lapau 223 brass that has been neck turned, primer pocket uniformed for depth, flash hole de-burred and kept at a consistant OA length.
The loads are:
80gn sierra MK, 25.2gns 2208, CCI450, lapua cases, and jammed 10 thou into the rifling.
75gn AMAX, 25.0gns 2208, CCI450, lapua cases, jammed 10 thou into the rifling. MV around 2850fps
Naturally reduce my loads by 10% and increase starting load by no more than 0.3gn increments as you go and please be careful
