Alan, they all look very, very nice! Who is Read? can you please provide some background info on who makes this very nice equipment.

Any chance of a joystick rest being on the drawing board. I think for F-Class the joystick offers the perfect platform for wind and elevation trim for all those shooters who hold off and dont click.

Ian,

Paul Read (Chopper, who started this thread) asked me to post these photos. No doubt he will be able to answer your and any other questions. I know that joysticks are coming.

G'Day Chop,
I got's to know...................
What is the species of the fiddle back timber in the photo's?

G,day Ned, the timber is lightwood, acacia implexa, a similar variety of blackwood, it came from an old farm from Mitta, 100 year old plus, it was a burnt out fence post, so i guess it could be 200 plus year old , as it had to grow before it became a fence post, it wasnt wide enough so i split it and laminated some good walnut in the middle, it hasnt moved at all in three years so it should stay that way i hope, Chop.

G'day chop,
I reckon it's bloody old redgum! Probably cut down +100yrs ago. I've got salvaged red gum blocks from the fire heap that look like that, especially from the fork of a tree. The age would brong in the colour especially if it was a fence post or stump.

Mind you it's just a guess  :D
