i was just wondering if a heavy varmit profile barrel can be fitted to an omark action and still be safe ??????

Should be safe enough mate, the problem might lay elsewhere, such as the bedding being able to handle the forces involved. The Omark has a pretty skinny profile, so the barrel reinforce is limited by the small diameter.
