There are some good epoxies out there.
Over the years I have used Devcon, Armorgrout and mining industry products. The armorgrout is very resistant to cleaning solvents etc.
One of the main issues with bedding an action is the preparation.

Hope this helps

I have pillar bedded 2 rifles before using Acraglass Gel and stainless steel spacers. It is not a difficult process as long as u use plenty of release agent which comes with the kit and prepare the action well. U also get 2 different dyes with it to make it blend in with your stock or less conspicuous. It is easily shaped after it has cured and comes out easily if u put the whole barreled action in the fridge tho shrink down...a good wrap on the barrel and it comes out beautifully.

The good thing is u can use vinegar and a cotton tip to clean up any spills or unwanted epoxy (thats a good tip for anyone using epoxys to get ot off unwanted areas like your hands). I have not had any experience with the metal aggregates like Davcon though but I have seen good results done by others though.

hope this helps :D
