I will be there working on the target crew. Pls make yourself known. Very intersting when you combine Canberra's famous fickle wind & mirage with a 10 Inch scoring area. I believe it is afull house event with some 75 competitors in 3 details with 10 targets each.
Se you there.

if it is of interest, on the sunday, there is also the 1000yd BR event.
for light gun ( 17 lb limit), roughly 20 rounds for the match and sighters and a few to get on paper prior to the event.
heavy gun (over 17 lbs) roughly 35 rounds all up.

on the friday, 500m fly practise and flag placement/erection is allowed most of the day.
with the 1000, all competitors are given a individual 'get on paper' sighting period prior to shooting their first target on the sunday.
at times in the past, late on saturday afternoon, depending on competitor numbers and the time the fly finishes, the 1000yd range has been able to be used for sighting purposes.
however since this year is a 10 target match for the fly, i am unable to say if the above will or won't happen this year.
on the sunday for the 1000, once shooting details have been determined, for each initial detail, normally one or more people with spotting scopes stand behind each shooter , to assist with getting each competitor on paper.
the 6 minute sighting period then allows each person to fine tune or adjust their sighting preferences.
hoping to see many "old" and "new" faces at both the fly and 1000!
cheers
