Well, the Vic boys will be in fine form after our recent District Teams events a couple of weeks ago.
We are well and truly used to dealing with RAIN RAIN RAIN and fishtail wind.
It was an interesting weekend for all involved. The good thing though, is that we may have a bit of good practise at handling wet and windy conditions
Enjoy the week ahead!

Go the mighty blues.....good luck to you all but i think the NSW boys are looking good, 3 locals in Rob Eager, Geoff Miners and Les Hosking plus aces like Matt Peroz i think we are in good hands.
Have fun guys and will see you all at the Queens next week.

Gidday all from the coalface.
Despite the weather, this is a great event to be part of. I believe this is the biggest ever all F Class event in Australia - 8 F Standard and 4 F open teams.
Conditions are rarely easy here, and today was tricky. Winds were light to moderate strength generally from the left, but at times fish-tailing from behind. The predicted showers mostly held off right through the practice ranges and most of the 800m teams event - just the last few shooters were affected by a very heavy shower which lasted about 15mins. The targets were pulled during the worst of the shower, and optinal sighters given afterwards.
Results F-Std : NSW 423.17 SA 413.21 Qld 408.14 N Qld 406.12 Vic 397.9 Tas 395.9 WA 394.5 ACT 389.12
Results F-Open : Vic 689 Qld 676 SA 663 NSW 663
Weather looks a bit better tomorrow, but the ground's going to be very muddy - lots of rain still falling.
Will report again tomorrow night.

Results of the Queensland Match (800M) shot yesterday (Sunday) are on the NRAA website. Link from the Home Page.
I hope to have the results for today (Monday) posted early this evening, dependant on when they are emailed to me. It's a manual process so it takes some time to re-enter the scores, check accuracy, etc.

The F-Class Teams are over - congrats to the winning teams. Results are
HERE.
Weather was much better today - but still tricky at the longs. I will remember this as the day my Leupold scope let go (I think - testing tomorrow should confirm or not). It was memorable because when we decided to change rifles, some thought it was against the rules, and the discussion went on for about 30mins, holding up the whole show

! After taking the matter as high as the NRAA Director of Rules, I was able to use a borrowed rifle.
We had the dinner at a local golf club. Was a very enjoyable night.
Most of the team shooters will be staying for the Queens so it will be very competitive.

Congratulations to the winning SA F-Open team. To quote Julius Caesar, "veni vidi vici" they came, they shot, they conquered!
I would have loaned you my rifle Alan (223R) to finish the shoot
Congratulations also to our SA F-Standard team for a fantastic performance. Great effort SA F-Class shooters and good luck to all continuing on to the Queen's event.
