F class rankings

Post by ger »

After a failed attempt in June to provide me with F class (Std and open) placings from WARA 2010, Alan finally got them to me today. I have processed them which has resulted in a change to what is now published on the NRAA website - this due to the data being now complete (as far as I know). The date of the rankings snapshot remains at 20 June 2011.

The next update will be after the QRA Queen's in August.

Rod Davies is going to have to shake a tail feather or two as Alan is fast catching up, and I suspect this is why the data has been sent to me at this late stage! ;-)

Geoff.

Alan & Rod, are you coming to the QRA Queens? Anyone else in FO?

Cameron,

I think it'll be just NSW and Canberra for me, but at this stage I intend to get to Mackay in May, so may see you and Julie there?

Yes going to Mackay next year Al. Hopefully a good roll up. It's a long way for many shooter's though.

That's a new one on me - a Range Officer hearing something.

Cameron,

Because of the distance involved, I'm not sure whether we'll have a Vic F-Open team at Mackay, but I'll probably go regardless, and have a look further north. My wife has escaped from her workplace, so she will probably be sharing my wanderings.

Yes, I'll be taking the inland route past Brisbane. Its the price I have to pay for giving cheek to ROs, but its worth it. Actually John, FWIW I have a card in my wallet that says "Accredited as Prizemeeting Range and Butts Officer". I'm working on getting to State level, but will have to wait until the hearing deteriorates a bit more to qualify....

Can we get a topic up on "events" so that we can coordinate information regarding the national F Open Teams, McKay 2012? We have the makings of a NSW Open team at this time, but I for one will not be going all the way to North Queensland if we do not have at least 4 teams to make a competition. Too far / expensive for a "dead rubber".

Well actually its nothing untoward in that respect Rod. And the butts officer is permitted to have quite good (by shooter standards) hearing. The main quality required of a butts officer is to take as long as possible to confirm a legitimate challenge, particularly when conditions are changing...
