heard a rumour the other day that the u.s. military is going to drop the 223 and go to either a 6 mm or 6.5 mm and a 30 cal.
if this happens, it will be interesting to see what nato and oz does.
which begs the question what will fstd do?

Damn, Bruce, you're spot on! We're likely going to have to look at TR & F standard calibrewise in the next 10 or 15 years - or seeing we have no connection with the military at all these days, just do nothing.

They have to have a round that can disable a fanatic,
and meet all their other other requirements.
Logistical, and ease of use for their personel.
