Congratulations to Alan on a great 60.10 at 900 yards at the Vic Queens. Well done.

I'll take it

!
It was pretty amazing I thought. Rod had a good win in the Syme but seemed to be just going so so in the Queens, then at 900 yards he nails a 60.10!!! So his scores went 57.5, 59.5, 57.5, 57.2, 58.1, 58.5,
60.10, 53.1. I reckon we need to find out what he had for breakfast - he should have shared.

Sorry, my mistake, doing to many things at once this morning, anyway it got discussion going. Well done Rod.

Well done Rod,
60.10 must be very rare..................
I do think you have grounds for complaint with the VRA.
On the results page the score comes up as 60.1
I think they need to take the results page to two decimal places!
Maybe they thought it would never happen?

Norm,
You'll notice that any aggs of 10, 20 or 30 etc. Vs or Supers are also missing the trailing zero. The VRA is still using dBASE IV software for its results - it is 1980s technology, and the output formatting is limited. I raised the subject of modernising the software with statistician Frank Connor a few years ago, but he's remained faithful to dBase thus far

.

It is not an dBASE IV only problem, Excel and most other programs will drop the trailing zero, the fix is simply to treat the final figure as text instead of being a numeric figure, basic programming issue.

Good on ya Rod, you must have had the shits at the other ranges.
I would have liked to be there but the move to QLD and droping to one income put a hold on that idea. Anyway I have saved up enough bickie$ and we will see you in Makai for the State Teams Event.

Well Done
