Does anyone know how the Vic Police PM went on Sunday?

Sunday 22 April was the VPRC price meeting with windy conditions and the sun shining through from time to time made for interesting shooting, they had a great turn out of F/Class shooters totaling 16 on the mound and only 8 target rifle shooters. It just shows how quickly the sport of F/Class shooting is growing in Victoria. The Werribee range it self has some interesting features, like a 7 metre high mound of dirt running the full length of the right side of the range except for last 10 meters of the range which has a gap from the end of the mound to the stop butts, there is a similar wall being built down the left side of the range, which makes for interesting wind reading. The VPRC made every one welcome with good food and great hospitality.

The range is quite unique, in that you get a horizontal cyclone effect. The flags being quite high show right hand wind, however after the wind has hit the side wall, it drops then goes back the other way. The mirage tended to show the real wind in effect.

I was amused to see people apparently over reading the wind, then I got down and did exactly the same thing. I ended up with 1/4 point left wind on when I felt there was 1.5 points right hand wind on. Go figure

A well run meeting, and the idea of 2 x 15 shot matches has its own challenge!!!
