I bought this really solid range cart at the SHOT Show last week. Others of you may be interested. Dis-assembles flat for transport.

As for the picture, I think the shooter should have turned the rifle around the other way But then he might have a metal plate in his back.

How can an unloaded firearm with a working safety shoot a person in the back when nobody is even touching it?

Oh wait, I forgot about Murphy's law...

I might be being a bit pedantic, but if a firearm is unloaded then does it matter if the firearm even has a safety let alone a working one? Personally I don't like safeties, the only safe firearm is an unloaded one.

Too many websites talk of issues of rifles discharging with safety on, or partly on, or being taken off, or..........

Not sure where this discussion is going!! I simply wanted to say that the Cart is configurable and suits my needs and to point it out to anyone interested. I have placed a large rectangular plastic bin on the base to hold all the loose bits and strap my rifle in a soft case to the vertical handle, i.e. pointing UP.

You're right Bob, it's all about the trolley.

I like the wheels, and it certainly looks like it is sturdy enough. Should handle the muddy conditions in Victoria at the moment. And it would probably get us through the flood waters too.

How does it go with Earth Quakes. Just thought I'd throw that one in, as we've had one in Moe

What are others using? I know I currently make multiple trips to the car! And sometimes when I really get conscientious I put a small hand trolley in, and strap a plastic box to it. Quite agricultural really!

You could shoot my style of rifle. In one hand is the rifle bag/shooting mat with the paperwork inside the mats pocket. In the other hand is the ammo.

Drop the bag on the ground, unclip it and fold it out into the shooting mat. Insert the bolt (also stored in the bag/mat) and open the ammo box ready to shoot.

I tried using the portable/collapsible handcarts that you pick up at Kmart/ALDI. It was OK, but the wheels are small, and the wheelbase narrow, so it tends to get stuck in rough ground and/or tip sideways.
When at a Queens, I like to leave the car with my camp, so I am looking forward to trying this new cart at the Canberra Queens in November.

Hi Bob,

I like the size of the wheels especially for some of the rough ground we encounter, I,m currently using a stanley tool chest, wheeled variety, it works well, keeps out the rain and dust, and I can sit on it.

Small wheels are a pain though so Im looking at putting larger ones on it.

Well, if you park close enough to the firing point at an angle to the butts and shoot out the window, saves having to carry any gear to the mound -----added benefit of being able to play the cassette radio as well............
