Anybody using a McMillan f-class or McMillan Tooley MBR stock? Having ideas about a rem 700 action(have it already) with a 30" barrel for f std. Any thoughts on either?
Thinking McMillan because I have owned a few and I like them.

Hi Casey,

My Panda is in a McMillan F Class stock, very pleased with it. Only thing I did notice was due to the very low profile of the forend, that the barrel would sometimes rub on the forend stop on my seb neo.

Only happened on flat mounds when shooting slightly downhill. Anyway, I removed the forend stop from the rest and fitted it to the rail on the stock, no more problems.

Cheers

Hi Danny,
Ever notice that springboard/vibrating effect of the thin forend that I've read criticism about ( only on the Internet, mind you ;-) )?

Cheers

Casey

outaammo,
i use a mcmillan tooley mbr and am very happy with it.
if i build another rifle i would get another one.
i don't like the lowrider stocks, because you need higher bags to get the rifle up to shooting height.
i like the 3 degree angle from pistol grip to toe for rapid small elevation changes.
the stock is well made, and stickers look good on it.
keep safe,
bruce.

I had an McMillan F class and found a flex or torque problem on my 284.
I currently have an MBR and love it.
Rides the bags well and has no flex issues.
I use it both at F class and BR.
