6mm long neck

I am thinking of using 6mm to 600m or over the whole lot on calmer days
I want a case with long neck and MV of up to 3000fps using heavy bullets or maybe some flat base 6mm flavoured ones
I’m very interested in 6X47SM and I know Lapua are bring out 6.5 X 47 but there is no info around yet on this cartridge or a necked down 6mm version
the 6X47 RUAG brass is hard to come by so I’m thinking 6HLS made from Lapua 243 or 308 brass anybody used this round and how would it compare to the 6BR for accuracy and easy of load tuning. Are dies available?Any advice would be appreciated
Cheers

Keith Hills has a couple of reamers that may suit you first option is run in a 6mm Rem AI in short to suit 243/308 brass basically a 243AI with a long neck or his 6HI which is basically a 6/250 AI with a longer neck he has had some promising results with this caliber shooting both 105 & 115's it should be able to push the 115's out about 3000fps.
Give him a call for any more in-fo.

What;s wrong with the 6BR it has a fairly long neck and will shoot OK to 900/1000 on a good day. It will shoot Ok even on bad days. Just look at Matt P's scores at the Vic Queens. I am sure he shot it at 900 on one of the day's

Well paul I know its probably been all done before but I just like to be different.
why are Lapua bringing out 6.5 X 47? why is 6X47RUAG hard to get in the USA ? Why did David Tubb produce 6XC?
If I were running with the pack I would have built a 6.5X 284 instead i got 284W same with 6BR
I think a mid size 6mm and heavy bullets may be worth a go
I know the 6BR is a superb round

Just as well you didn't get a 6.5/284. I am sure you would have been dissapointed. Just as i was along with quite a few others.
KHGS was toying with a 6mm version of the 6.5HI, alah 6HI. A 243 case with a longer neck and a 40 degree shoulder. Maybe thats an option.
I guess if no one experimented then we woul still be using muzzle loaders
