I would like to re-stock my Sportco Omark M44 with a walnut stock but the stock maker does not inlet for the Omark. Is there another rifle that has the same inlet profile as the Omark? Any other suggestions? I know this question was posted just a bit down the page but the OP didn't really get a definitive answer.

I have spoken to my Smith and we are going to go with a Microfit benchrest stock for my Omark you can order these (and the prone stock) in walnut and as a blank you just need to find someone to inlet it for you
http://www.rifle-stocks.com/proneculbertson.htm have a look at these ones

Good choice smlekid. I have had 5 Richards stocks over the past few years and they are very good - after a bit of work to get them to fit exactly. I currently have 2 F-Open rifles with the Benchrest Thumbhole Cheekpiece stocks - 1 x 7mmWSM and 1 x .25WSSM. They are very comfortable and look the part.
I would still like to find an inlet that is at least close to the Omark as I do the bedding jobs for the local gun shop so have experience in this but not brave enough to get a stock un-inletted!
Colour-coded stocks - no problem! My 7mm shoots Hornady A-Max bullets, with the red tip and the stock is Black Widow laminate - black and red. My .25wssm shoots Nosler 115gr Ballistic tips with the blue plastic tip - my stock colour? - blue and black of course!

Always good to see local businesses catering to the target fraternity - we are a fussy bunch!

I measured the take down screw spacing on my Omark and it is 5.440" which is even shorter than a Winchester Super Short action. Remingtons are longer than this - not sure about the Savages but would imagine they are too. May have to inlet the stock myself
