Any suggestions / recomendations for a starter scope in about the 500 bux range?

Or should I just run with my 6-24 Tasco and hold off and over heaps and save for year or two for a Nightforce?

Weaver T24 is probably a good one if you can source one for that money. Good as the mirage wont affect you as bad as the T36 and the tracking is usually very reliable.
