Im looking to get F Class Open included in this years Murray Districts Prize Meet in August and need half a dozen shooters to commit to this event. Ive sent in a written expression to their committee, now looking for numbers to back it up.
Would be great to get a group of shooters organised that can together compete at a few prize shoots throughout the year- I know Wurgabup run it already but Murray Districts, possibly the Metro Districts, and even next years SW Districts would be great events to shoot.
If your an FO or F T/R shooter and can get to the Murray PM on the 24th and 25th of August, can you please let me know ASAP so I can back up my letter with people ready to shoot.
Cheers

brad,
good on you for this.
you are in a chicken or egg situation, and trying to break the cycle.
here in sa years ago a core group of us attende anything going just to establish and retain prize shoots. now with more of us, responsibilities can be spread out, and there are still more shooters.
you can't blame other groups if you don't hold up your end as you are attempting to do.
keep safe,
bruce.

Wurgabup runs both because our members shoot the disciplines.
It would be crazy not to support our own members!
Good luck Brad, as I said before, I will be in the states with the Worlds team.
Have you contacted the Open guys from the WA Queens?

There's Bob from Wurgabup, he might be keen.
Then again he might be conserving barrel life in the SAUM!

Hi Terry
Which club do you shoot for?
Would be great to have another open shooting willing to go get to Yarloop in August. Hopefully if we can show that we have enough shooters, the next year we can look at a few more FO shoots- Albany, Coolilup, Metro PM and maybe Greenough.

Thats awesome we have some more open shooters. I know rod is a good shot with his 308 so he will be tough to beat with an open class rifle!!!
Yarloop will be a good shoot if we can all get there and show that F-Open is a force in WA shooting

Im hoping to get to Wurgabup, only problem it that weekend will be my first home from a fishing holiday. I doubt the mrs will let me away for another weekend. Can only ask I guess...
Rod said at last years queens he would be shooting more open, Ive heard he is getting a 6x47 Lapua, is that correct? I know they are popular with fly shooters, but I keep hearing dissapointing things about them and vertical in F class.
I have another shooter at our club interested in having a go with either his 6BR or 6.5x47L. Plus the one with his 6.5x284 as well. If all goes well and everyone enters as FO shooters then heck we may end up close to 10!

I heard Warrick Brown has a 6x47 Lapua as well. Could be worth asking him if he would jump into open aswell?
