a recent viewing of canadian fclass rules revealed thet they, like us, have 3 kinds of fclass.
they have fopen, ftr, and a class called ffarquarson, which seems not dissimilar to our fstd.
seems to work for them, which could undo the naysayers of ftr here.
keep safe,
bruce.

Maybe the Aussie F-Standard blokes here and the Farquarsons of Canuk could get together and have an international competition?

Norm,

I think if we try to do the same as the Canadians we'll all be Farqued  (sorry - couldn't resist).

alan,
be wary of becoming like me.
the sense of humour part is o.k. it just makes everyonr laugh a lot.
the problem is the next step when you turn into a girl magnet.
take my advice, don't go there!
at our age it is less than ideal.
keep safe,
bruce.

Farqu me. Not 2 girl magnets in the same sport.

Norm, if you like team shooting you could organise a postal match against the Canadians , it would save a lot of expense with traveling fees etc.

Keep up the good work Bruce

Cheers
Paul

Maybe they will have this class at least in their nationals in 2017 when they host the FCWC. maybe a few more F std shooters would like to make the trip then :D

Last time that I read the DCRA web site, I drew the conclusion that whilst they had indeed commenced the sport shooting a division substantially identical to our FS & may still keep the rules for bucolic pleasure, some years ago, they fell on their sword & went to F/TR in deference to the majority south of the border participants at Connaught.
