To fill in the non-locals, the outcome of the courtcase was that the NSWRA can stay at ANZAC Range until another location is found and built, if and when that happens. In the meantime, the other previous users of the range have not been permitted to return.

This petition is to help the other previous users of ANZAC Range to return to, and share the space that we use.

If you've got a spare couple of minutes, have a read of the Wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malabar_Headland. It has the history and pics of the range and its users. There has been some enormous work put into the page by a local user to get it up to scratch.

PS, on a personal note, it was only a few weeks ago that I was discussing the situation to a non-shooter who works for an organisation that looks after mentally disabled people. They used to go to the range for therapy sessions with the horses, which they now can't do. I think it would be fair to say that they weren't terribly impressed with the situation. To be honest, it's terrible that such a small group of people were able to kick so many users off the range.

There is no reason why we cannot stay on the range, including the other various users, and keep the various flora further out on the headland protected. We've had over a century to prove that we can live in harmony with the local landscape, and the reason that this flora is still there is only because the range has existed for all this time.
