I'm wanting to load some 80gn projectiles for my .223 and I was wondering what a good amount of powder would be for the best performance?

What another guy uses will most likely not suit your set up, your job is to find what tickles your rifle's fancy, at the end of all your testing, the best load for best performance will be the one you have spent a hell of a lot of time developing. Sadly there are no short cuts in this game, enjoy

You have to build up for safety in your rifle but my advice is that if you want it to work at longer ranges, dont be shy about getting a warm load going. (ie over 24g 06h or over 25g 08 otherwise it wont have the legs.....

As the others have said you need to work it up in your rifle.
23-24gr 2206h seems to work.
I use 23.8gr in my rifle with a 223 Wylde chamber and get 2900fps. Adi brass, amax and a 8 twist 27" barrel.

Thanks guys, I'm only new to the reloading game and am just looking for some pointers cause I don't want to push it to far and and do something wrong haha. I'm starting to get my .308 load humming out of my rpa, but and wanting to get the .223 going good as well. All and any help is much appreciated.
