Hi all,
Has anyone got anything bad to say about Seb's Joystick Bipod, and what are the good points about it?
Thanks

Are there any in Australia? BRT hasn't any & Seb hasn't given them any delivery date yet.

I got a prototype unit from Seb to test and found it excellent to use. Its extremely light and rigid and super stable. I was set to use it in the Aus F T/R team but didn't make it to the USA.
I ended up handing it on to Mike Willment who used it at Bendigo just recently you could always try contacting Mike to see if he is willing to sell it on to a new owner. If you dont ask you will never know!

This was posted by Seb on 6BR the other day..
I have another 150 NEOs in the work, they should be ready around mid June 2014.
--------------
Shipped 25 JOY-pods (first shipment) to the States last Friday, should be arrived on Wed/Thursday next week. Contact your dealer Ernie Bishop.
Another 50 units will be shipped before late April 2014.
These would (only) cover order from Oct 2012 to Nov 2013.
-------------
Will ship 25 JOY-pods to the UK in the next few days. Contact your dealer Brian Fox @ Fox Firearms.
-------------
Plan to start a new batch of MAX rests (100 units) & second batch of JOY-pods (200-300 units) around late May 2014.
-------------
Still, all parts are handmade - so it takes time. We already work so hard, lots of overtime etc. If you are in a hurry to get the rest, or don't have the patience, I recommend you to get another rest.

Some sad news from BRT about these:-
This is a group email I am sending out to those who have been on our backorder lists for a SEB product. Particularly the Joypod and the MAX rest but also the accessories. We wish to advise that we have decided to no longer carry SEB products. I suggest that you contact Sebastian directly if you wish to obtain a product from him.

Barry, supply has always been a problem with Seb products. Great product but not mass produced! I can understand why Stuart would drop the product line as he could never give a delivery date, (I'm guessing).
I use the Gen 3 Sinclair bipod, it works great but is heavy unless you have a light scope to counter the weight of it.
Sinclair have released the Duplin Bipod in Jeff Rorer, (top USA F T/R shooter) spec and it is extremely light with great adjustment. It weighs in at 17 ozs and adjusts up 6" for elevation, 4.25" to 10.25". Its priced pretty well for such a high spec bipod at $US350. If you want a great bipod and cant get the Seb then this is a really good option as it will allow heavy scopes or barrels to be used. Its proving popular so you will probably need to put it on back order.

Ian,
If you surfed Facebook, you'd find that Seb has sold the first run of joypods direct, & if I read it right, to members of the various F/TR teams who attended Raton. Under those circumstances & considering none of us have been able to get a date for the next supply of Neos, I could understand businessmen like Stuart getting a tad teed off with Seb's supply protocol.

John! Behave!
Yes I have the new Joypod and joypad and I am more than impressed. I cannot wait to give it a run on Sunday. The joypad is a mat made up of 4 sections that is filled with heavy sand. It complies to the FTR rule " Must be flexible and conform to the landscape"
Mine will be at the Nationals if anyone wants to have a look.
Weight: 530gms
Universal T slot with two adaptors: Anschutz and Freeland
Approx 20 MOA vertial adjustment and 25 MOA horizontal adjustment.
Joypod :$375 US plus shipping and transfer fee
Joypad $30.00 US
Next batch will be ready in 8-12 months.
