NRAA Software For OPMs

Looks like all our clubs will be given some new software from the NRAA to enable tabulating of rankings based on more than simply State Championship, (Queens) scores. Good work NRAA!

Interested to hear from anyone that may know if it includes all stats including record scores? Does it cover all shooting disciplines as listed in the SSRs?

This software could provide a great opportunity to collect data for maintaining a national record score register. I wonder if this option is being considered?

The other question would have to be, will clubs adopt it if it involves double entry? As all clubs currently run a spreadsheet for their club championships and OPMs.

Unable to find any info on our official NRAA website but I received a newsletter from SARA which I will copy below for those that may be interested.

"NRAA prize meeting software (OPMP)

This is just about to be released to all clubs. There are big advantages in using this to run your prize shoot. N.B. The only way to get Prize Meeting/Queens Series Results included in the National Grading System will be by using the OPMP. The NRAA just does not have the resources for our staff to enter results manually and has decided on this policy. SARA would like 2 members from each club to take on learning this program. When it is all complete, Ken Sellick will hold a course in its use and application."

Hi Ian,
I saw this software used at the Tasi queens and it looked OK
The big surprise to me was the results were available online very quickly.
Our club too has been approached to use the software and I think some training is coming up on this system so that will shed some light on your questions.

I too have similar question that need to be looked into.
