You may be pushing to use the 69's in a 1:12
Last time I had a 1:12t 223, I used 53 smk's with ADI
Benchmark 1. Worked ok, only shot it out to 300m

You should be able to get out to 600yds with one of the 60gr varmint bullets. Nosler Vbt,
Sierra HP or Hornady vmax. Enough ar2208 to get you up around 2900 fps would be worth a try.1 in 12 twist is not ideal but you can only use what you have so have fun with it.

Hi jmc,
It is worth noting that if you wish to compete in F standard you will need to shoot one of the following approved projectiles.
National Rifle Association of Australia Limited
Standard Shooting Rules Page 109-110 of 127 February 2013 Issue - Version 2a.
223 Calibre
Sierra - MatchKing:- .224 69 grain.
Sierra - MatchKing:- .224 80 grain.
Hornady – Amax:- .224 80 grain.
Nosler – HPBT:- .224 80 grain.
JLK VLD:- .224 80 grain.
Berger Match VLD Target:- .224 80 grain.
Berger Match Fullbore Target:- .224 80.5 grain.
So really you should try the 69 gr matchking (but only buy one box as it probably won't work as you suggest). And if this doesn't work you will have to shoot in F open. This is not a major issue though and you should be able to enjoy yourself anyway.

I've tried 69gr SMKs in a 1:12. They did hit the target point first but grouped like a shotgun!
