The VRA Champ of Champions was held yesterday, unfortunately I couldn't attend this year due to other commitments, just wondering if anyone has the results?
Cheers

Thanks for posting the scores Michael. Wow, those don't look like typical Bendigo scores. Even Jenny Davies dropped 15!
Well done to the winners - what's the old saying - when the going gets tough....

Danny, i don't know that you really wanted to be there, it was like the house of pain, Lower light. Great fishing weather tho.
Like Michael said, very tricky as light wind conditions + the mirage changed very quickly, 700yds was the most painfull. I got lucky. I think I shot on about 20x all day just to see the target lines clearly. lots of 6 mls & 6.5's being used, I used my 7mm as the 6 is in the naughty corner still.

Lucky or not Geoff, you were well ahead of the rest of the field, great shooting. Bendigo can be very unforgiving at times but I still would have liked to have been there. Always enjoy shooting against Jenny.
Michael, you didn't let Liam beat you again?
Cheers

Alan,
I only have some scores, #13 DRA is missing, maybe someone from that DRA may have the score.
Number13: ????
Gippsland: 1119.57
Number11: 1143.59
Number 3: 1151.80
Maybe another DRA is missing also, sorry not a complete list, but Bendigo #3 won the day in tough conditions similar to Saturday.

Individual scores sent to Alan.
Team scores were:
No.3 Bendigo 1151.80 (5 shooters from a field of 6 shooters)
No.11 Inner-West 1143.59 (5 shooters from a field of 8 shooters)
No.9 Gippsland 1119.57 (5 shooters from a field of 6 shooters)
No.
12 South West 1100.48 (5 shooters from a field of 6 shooters)
I was lucky to sit between No.13 and No.3 when I was coaching, and I must say that Geoff Grenfell has a pretty good handle on the conditions at Bendigo!!! It's good to see that he can coach scope's too, it can get a bit tricky remembering which way to wind

It was an excellent event over the 2 days, and shows why our sport of shooting is so much fun.
I'd like to thank my DRA and the guy's and gal's that helped out during the 2 days. It's not just those on the firing line that make it happen, it is all the helpers that make the event possible (scorers / check scorers / markers / spectators).

No 13 couldn't make it this year. I think you will find it was No 12 DRA.

Mike,
A pretty big effort seeing as he (Geoff) was shooting TR Champ of Champs then rushing back to the next range to coach F-Class on the same day and remembering which way to wind the sights for both.

Hi Danny, I think you might be right. They were No.12 last year and the one previous to that

I simply took the detail from Photo's of the VRA Tally boards.
Geoff.K, both work loads probably gave GG the edge. However, local knowledge clearly played a part in a terrific score. Looking at both South Bendigo and Bendigo scores, I think a handicap system should be brought in

Say -40 points to Bendigo and South Bendigo would seem fair? Or maybe have them come and play at Rosedale instead
What do you think Alan, do you think Rosedale clubs would be happy to host the F Class competition?

I seem to remember that GG handled the Rosedale conditions quite well on his last visit, so we'd need to get homeground advantage in other ways - I'm sure we could come up with something. I'm thinking we could replace the sheep on the range with a few jersey bulls - there's a mean breed of them round here

.
