Julie McEwan's "Vertical" with a 6 Dasher at North Arm OPM

Post by ecomeat »

The two photos following are of the pretty special waterline that Julie McEwans new 6 Dasher achieved at North Arm OPM 25/10/2014.
Cam built it from scratch himself, then handed it over to Julie. It apparently shot ragged one hole groups at 500 or 600 yds when they were breaking it in.
Image

This was shot is choppy gusting winds with extremely quick drop offs and pick ups, with a lot of wind coming from 12 oclock, and guts measured by 3 separate people as being 14-16 mph.

This is a close up of the 9 shots in the middle.

I think it might be a keeper !!

Everyone should have a 6 dasher. Such a good fun gun to shoot and when they are cranking, they really crank. So good for out to 500yds and in some conditions they will eat up everything else on the range. Well done Julie, thats a fantastic flat group! Guns like that somedays you just get more fun making smiley faces on targets...

Tenth shot is shown here Bindi, if you insist.
We are talking about the waterline. There is a 4 way out on the right, but still with a perfect waterline.

These wind gusts spat World Champions out. Most shooters would find the waterline to be pretty special.
Please show us some of yours, if you have some better

The water line is very good but there is only 4 in the centre and 4 in the six.
There are some photos floating around of 120 with 19. Not mine but I scored for the 60 with 9 the .1 is the centre. My best is 60 with 7 and I did not win or come second.

260 AI at 300. But , they are not all like this. I will have to improve the bag placement etc. I agree the dashers have the edge under the right conditions

I had a Dasher once, but never did anything like that with it. To do that you need a very accurate rifle plus a very good execution.

Cam you should know better!

How can you expect to get the better of Julie when you set her up with such great equipment!!!

Now everyone else has to shoot better too.

Great work. May I ask what brand of barrel produced such a great result?
