Hi All,
This may have been done before, I couldn't find it in the last 5 pages so:
I have just received my rifle back from Matt P and need some loads and bullet weight suggestions(serious ones if possible) for a 6mm dasher.

I use berger 105 hybrids.

Fire forming load was 30 grains 2208 jammed. This shot surprisingly well too.

Normal load is 33gn 2208 with a 15 thou jump. This gives me an average vel of 3075, sd 4 and es 11.

Hope that gives you a starting point.

I've recently started shooting with another LRP 6 Dasher a .271" no turn chamber with a .105" freebore if I remember rightly. 31gr 2208 with a 108Gr Berger for fireforming using the false shoulder method and quickly worked up a load of 33.3gr 2208 with a 103gr Copperhead VLD jammed a long way (don't have a modified case yet to measure my length to lands so haven't bothered with seating depth changes yet) which shot a 120.9 at 300m the other week at Hornsby and 10 shot .3" at 100yd at Silverdale...no velocity figures I'm afraid. I'm very happy to date.

I use 36gn of 2209 pushing either the 105 Bergers or 107 Sierras.

Both work brilliantly.

I was using 31.8gr 2206H with 105 hybrids jumped 50 thou. Shot crazy good but eroded the krieger barrel 20 thou in 500 rounds. Measured it many times and its the same and has done the same thing in 2 other mates barrels using the same load. Then it went out of tune and I also ran out of that batch of hybrids. The new batch are being a biatch and Im still in between trying things at the moment to bring accuracy back. Its not really hunting the X like a dasher should. Going to try jamming them behind 32-33gr of RL15 as the next option. I have a heap of 2209 to burn up too, Heard around 36gr usually gets around 3000fps with a 105 class bullet. If I cant get it going I will go back to the old faithful sierra 107 or 105 JLK for F class, but looking to try some Antipodean 105's soon at 1000yd BR.

The BR4 used to shoot great with 2206H but going to a slower powder I got better results from the 450's.

I'm running 36.4gr 2209, 105 hybrids jumped 5 thou and / cci 450 runs around 3040fps
Fills the case pretty good you have to pour it in pretty slow but it's works awesome!!

PRIMERS: CCI 450
POWDER: ADI 2209
PROJIES: 105 Berger or 107 Sierra
SEATING: 5 to 10 thou Jam

I have found that 2209 is so good in SD that you can get single digit reliably. And this is with 3 different batches over the past few years.

My barrel has done 2400 rounds and still going without a re-crown. Shot 60.7,60.8,60.9 as the last few ranges through it in June 2014, so it is certainly not burnt out!!! While it is shooting that well I will not re-crown it.

I hope you find the same accuracy, they are just the best.

Thanks for sharing that Mike, I wasnt sure whether to jump or jam the sierras. Most say jump but some very good 1000yd benchrest shooters in the USA say jamming them brings them to life from great to every bit as good as any other projectile available. Do you sort yours at all? They do seem to be alot more over the place than bergers in base to ogive length- possibly why alot of people are happier jumping them as they are supposed to be quite tolerant of seating depth.

On another note, I believe the 107gr SMK will be coming out as a re designed model similar in that to the 2156 155gr palma matchkings. They are reported to be pointed out of the factory and a bit better in consistency. I look forward to trying them.

Have done some more testing at 100m after some average results jumping them this new lot of hybrids are shooting very tight at 100 with a 10 thou jam and 32.8gr RL15 with CCI 450 primers. As tight as I have seen this gun shoot so far... Sunday will be a good test at 900m!

I tried jumping Berger 105 gr hybrids in my 6 x 47 Lapua, from a touch, right out to over 0.080" jump without success, but finally got it shooting acceptably (well enough to proceed with teating, anyway !) with a 0.009" jam at approx 3100 fps using 2209
How fast are yours going with that 0.010" jam, Brad ?

Tony Im guessing around the 2970-3010fps bracket. Its been fairly consistent with accuracy in this barrel at that speed.

It passed the 900m test, second only to a 7mm but it held the highest x count and beat off a field full of 6.5mm's. Looking forward to shooting some short range possibles again now!

I'm using 2206H 31.9 berger 105 hybrids 030" jumped and I had very accurate results.I used other powders like 2208 33.3gr and 2209 35.7gr with the same projectiles,all of them very good.2208 33.3 powder is the fastest.I hope I helped a bit.
