Who besides protektor make flat top rear bags? Is the SEB small foot a flat top?

I do not believe Seb makes a flat top bag. Protector is probably your best bet as they make custom bags, so you should be able to get what you want through them.

If you want to talk to someone locally, I would suggest going through BRT as they are in contact with Protector pretty regularly.

Hi Brad
Not sure what you mean by flat to bag, as I have a couple of the Seb small bags with a flat between the ears I can measure this if it is something you are looking for as I have a 3" & 4" high bags for sale

Cheers

Ken,
Sometimes these Western Australians are quite some way "behind" :D :D :D
I am pretty sure that he is after a good stable conventional rear sandbag, but specifically one that is flat on top, to that his F Class stock...flat bottomed and parallel to the flat forfend.....can recoil straight back.
The SEB BigFoot bag is wonderfully stable, but being designed for BenchRest, the surface between the ears is sloping, to suit the typical sloping underline of a BR stock.
Using this with an F Class stock means that the stock only just touches the bag (between the ears) for maybe 1cm or less. Ideally, it would be in contact for the full "length" of the ears......maybe for 8 or 10 cm.
We like the great stability of the Seb BigFoot, so you see quite a few around F Class, but many like me use a wedge approx 1" or more high at the rear. This achieves the desired "flat surface" for the stock to track on, during recoil, but it's also one more thing to carry to the mound.

Brad is probably trying to locate a rear bag that already comes "flat on top" ? I hope he finds a source, and shares it with us when he finds one !! Maybe Raven might have sent him straight to the source.

Sorry yes Tony has it figured out what Im after. Something flat so the butt can recoil with it. Protektor make one, but I cant find it available in Aus at the moment.

Richard, does your man make the rear bags Im talking about or small flat bags that would go under your elbows etc? PM details if your willing.
