Have heard some reports of the latest lots of 2209 being quite fast, in the order of a couple of grains less needed in 7mm cartridges to keep velocities at similar speeds to other batches. Some people using old and proven fireform loads and wrecking cases.
Interested to hear if anyone is using them particularly in the 284 shehane with 180's and having issues with pressure/case life or burning barrels quicker than expected.

Sadly no, its only word of mouth Ive heard. Bought a 500gr tub this arvo of a new lot and will compare against my old one that is a few years old. Magnetospeed will tell the difference!

Did some chronying today at 400m. My current load is 35.8gr 2209 behind a 105gr bullet in the dasher for 2990fps. 34.5gr was 2907fps avg. The new lot averaged at 2922fps with 34.5gr. The batch number Im using is MEM5212 and the new lot is 5331. I dont think its much warmer but if your changing lots the usual precautions apply as your current lot might be slower than my current.
