Are any calibre/energy limits over and above the 8mm one, going to be imposed on f-open competitors ?
I am only asking because a friend with a 300 WM was told he could not shoot at Ungarie...

Unfortunately the 300 Winchester Magnum cannot be used on the Ungarie range.4,184 ft/lbs is the limit,7mm SAUM and 300 WSM are allowed.

These blokes are a bit slack with their reporting. No rumours, gossip, stories or equipment news from the long range shooters.

Sorry guy's its hard to shoot and drive and do a report.
In F Open a tight battle for two days and sorted on the final range.
Les Rozsnyai 1st by 3 to Graham Phillips by 2 to Lou Shallis all shooting SAUM's, just as a note on the last 1200 we had up to 9.5 moa of wind on the SAUM's, I have no idea what the .308 had on.
Stand outs were a 90.6 at 1100y by Les on day 2 that gave him confidence and a 1 point lead and 113.6 at 1200y for Graham on day one, I enjoyed that and I didn't shut up for an hour.
FTR was down to Allan Seaman and Cliff Austen this pair were way out in front of the pack with Allan taking the honour's on all but the last range where he got a flogging trying to contend with wind picking up and dropping off up to 7 moa and just to make it more difficult it would change angle and come up the range with a 20 degrees switch and back all in 40 seconds.
Allan's stand out over the 5 previous ranges got him the win and Cliff a very capable 2nd.
