This one is mainly for the TR and F Standard fellas. What chamber (palma 95, Bisley 150 etc) are people running in their .308s? I am using HBC projectiles but might go over to Bergers in the future.

Clymer M852. with 150 thou freebore.
This chamber will handle any projectile from Sierra 2155 thru the Berger 155 range to a 175 sierra.
Originally designed for a 168gn Sierra.
I also had a barrel chambered with what was supposed to be an M852 but it only had 70 thou freebore and would not chamber a Winchester factory round -- so take care to check freebore. I have my suspicions as to whether it was actually an M852.
Not sure about the B150 ( Nev Maddern uses this ) Nothing wrong with it but it has less freebore than an m852 -- would be suitable for the 155 range.

Thanks for the reply Barry. I was looking at buying my own reamer so I know exactly what chamber I'm getting each time I get some barrel work done. I was looking at the Bisley 150 reamer. I shoot TR, so I'm sure it will be good for 155gn projectiles.

For 155gn projectiles the Palma 95 with 0.055" freebore is a sound choice.

Excellent choice, any fired cases you have will need to be put through a small base die before the first use in a '95 chamber, the base of the '95 reamer is a little smaller than SAMI spec. Bear in mind this chamber will not suit Australian factory ammo!=D>

Bisley 150 chamber is what I have in my Archer , actually Keith done the work , lost count what it's won over the years , it worked very well with HBCs and also the bergers - extra freebore allowed lessened pressures with the Projy seated out further compared to others in our club

The B150 is also a good choice, it works very well with Nozler CC & HBC bullets. Berger 155.5 bullets are fine in it.

That hasn't been my experience with the '95. Standard dies work fine with minimal sizing and consequent working of brass. That was with a PTG reamer though.

The problem I refer to occurs with sizing cases shot in a SAMI spec chamber to fit a 95 chamber. New cases shot in a 95 chamber are fine with std dies. Std FLD do not always size fired brass back to new unfired case size, unless the die is on the small end of tolerance, a small base die is required to ensure brass fired in a non 95 chamber is sized back enough to fit a 95 chamber otherwise you may suffer sticking cases.
