I'm chasing any loading data for a .260 Rem . The rifle is a Tikka CTR in an MDT Tac 21 stock. It only has a 20" barrel. I have Lapua cases. IIRC I have some .264 JLK's in the container.

I'm using a Tikka T3 Varmint with a 24" barrel. It sits in a GRS stock and I use Remington brass, CCI 200 primers and 123gr Hornady A-Max projectiles. My powder load is 44.2gr of AR2209. Primers are nicely flattened with no cratering. It is a superbly accurate and consistant load in my Tikka.

is that being used in target work or for hunting? if Target, what ranges have you shot and what sort of results have you achieved?

I have a 260Rem on a Tikka Action, 26" hardy, Med-varmint 1:8twist, but also a good stock of 123gn Amax. was looking for a decent load to use some up with.

My 260 was built for hunting but I did get 1:8 twist , I have taken it to the range with me when I do my FTR shoots , ands it does pretty well at 500 yds that's furthest its been shot on paper off Harris bipods . Rifle is nowhere near weight of normal Open class rifle so handling is not the same , but in the field I got target accuracy I can count on . And those 123s perform really well on game goats pigs size never tried it on anything bigger

I use H4350 which if I remember correctly is AR2209? My everyday working loads are.....CCI BR primers or Fed210m primers. I've used Nosler and Remington brass and Norma brass.

44.0gr. and a 120gr. bullet
43.0gr. and a 130gr. type bullet
42.0gr. and a 139/142gr. bullet.

Three different barrels on guns and all of them like the loads. Two of the guns are hunting rifles with 22" barrels. My tactical bolt gun has a 24" barrel.

that's correct about the 4350/2209 equivalence. I'm currently using it across 130's and 140s/142s in my rifle described above. I was about to start pushing my loads of 140s up towards 41.5-42.2 region to get the MV to around 2750fps and flatten the flights a little at the shorter ranges.

have you used the faster powders with the 120's before? What sort of results have you seen with the lighter projectiles?
