So is there going to be a link on this website for the results. As our little club has two members in the team I'd like to be seeing the results as soon as.

To all those going over good luck and good shooting. Look forward to seeing the scores up on the board as the Comp progresses.

Looks like the DCRA (Dominion of Canada Rifle Association) has been doing daily roundups of scores for their major events for several years. Presumably they will do the same for the FCWC. See
HERE.

Congratulations and good luck to all of you heading to Ottawa. Being a selected member of an elite group within any sport is testimony to hard work, dedication and sacrifice. In our sport this is no different.
Strive for greatness and above all enjoy every moment of the experience, know that you have the trust and belief of many fellows back home.

The first group of the Aussie contingent are in Ottawa now. We have been getting the mundane shopping out of the way at Walmart before going to Cabelas for some real shopping. The weather here at the moment is good, mid 20s but expected to get warmer and they are expecting rain during the competition. The accommodation where most are staying is very good and convenient to everything we need. Ottawa seems to be a nice town and the locals are certainly helpful and friendly, so things are looking good for the next 3 weeks. The main group will be arriving tomorrow night so we are hoping to have all of the supplies, powders etc ready for them when they get here.

Rod,
Out of interest, what was the total weight of gear you took with you. I was trying to figure this out and got to a rather large number.

I went with 3 lots of 31.9kgs check in, then about 20+kg of carry on. Those of us here still had to buy a lot of bits and pieces once we arrived and will have to refill sandbags etc today.

That is unfortunately what I thought....

Even on my platinum Status I only get 60kg allowance. Do I assume correctly that the extra baggage fees made your eyes water or was there some dispensation for elite Australian athletes
