I thought the U300 was discontinued last year due to design issues?

yes the U300 was discontinued last year, I bought one from Cleavers for $600 or so, Mines in 223rem and I also have a greyboe stock new in the box, anyway the ultimatum action is working perfectly in 223,DON'T forget that the actions that were imported into Australia were version 3 or 4 and work with no problems, also all the one's that I have seen have the Savage small ring thread, NOT the rem700 thread, maybe cleaver had both ,but I have spoken to about four smiths who have fitted them and all had savage threads, as for finish ,they are great, but in 223rem you can only use MDT mags as genuine AI mags won't fit, but in the 308 size action all the AI mags seem to work.
Anyway that's my take on the Ultimatum U300.
As for the grayboe mine in finished well and feels good for the $ spent, but mine is non adjustable.
