Re: VRA lead up and Queens.

well done to all winners! The Cessnock boys did well It was a great event from what I hear and a favourite for Rod Davies, winning it for the last 2 years in a row will do that. I hope to be there next year even if it’s just to do a bit of reporting. Just wondering if the 7 saum is gaining any momen...

Re: VRA lead up and Queens.

The SA Queen’s had blow off shots each morning for a gold coin donation, which I thought was great as an RO had to be there.

Re: VRA lead up and Queens.

The charge for blow off shots must be exorbitant for people to risk loosing their shooters licence and firearms :-k

Re: enlighten me on powder measures.

I’m not rushing to change my powder weighing setup Alan. It might not be the fastest but it works. I was under the impression a&d were the ducks guts?? Not your findings? The A&D scale with the auto trickler is FAST which is the upgrade not so much the accuracy, if your beam scale measures ...

How does the baby powder go in high humidity or during a rain event?

If shooting in the rain I cover the front rest and rear bag in plastic bags which keep out the water and are super slippery

Cleaning a jewell trigger

I was shooting in dusty conditions on the weekend and noticed a build up of it on the trigger thingy seen from the top of the action.
So what's the best way to clean it??

9BA53575-E2FE-4457-AA7A-113BF3B640F4.jpeg A bit late but this was breakfast at Ungarie, I can confirm it wasn’t a champion’s breakfast. All you FTR shooters out there have nothing to fear from me. I found the conditions very hard to read. It was however an enjoyable shoot and thanks to the organise...

42E95922-CAF0-4A99-95C0-F73076F6CD15.jpeg Rain storm last night and dust storm today. I shot a 72 for the first 900 then a respectable 80 considering conditions and my ability to steer an FTR gun. I’d mention how much wind I had on but I don’t have a zero. It’s supposed to ease off tomorrow so hope...

Re: Ungarie bisley 30 March

First range done
800 yds ...
I’m learning how to shoot FTR , I say that because the score confirms this.
15 shots for 74 which would be great in Canada, not so great here.
My definition of fun now needs adjusting.
We are shooting 2x 900s this afternoon due to conditions
More fun to come

Re: Ungarie bisley 30 March

Saturday morning 6:30 and the rain has stopped which is great but the current cyclone is a concern.
If it doesn’t stop I’ll be checking out the highlights of Ungarie, I hope one day will be enough to cover that activity.

Re: Nightforce Benchrest 12-42 x 56 running out of elevation

This may be a silly question...
But that won't stop me asking, is there any chance the rail is mounted the wrong way?
