10FPAT, Your description of what you consider would be the most interesting sounds very much like the NRAA discipline of Field class where they shoot over 1,2and 300yards in three positions ie prone, kneeling and standing. Bipods are not used of course which makes the discipline rather difficult. T...
To be a little more precise, and this is not the only factor, all shots fired must be fired at the backstop and the safety template is based on 11 degrees of the line from the firing point to the backstop. Add to this the necessity to not close the bolt until the rifle i...
Bruce, Im sorry you think tactical type rifles should not be welcomed on the mound. Those style of rifles are popular and if FB and F-Class want to survive, they will need to start thinking outside the box a bit. I shot a Tactical type 308 rifle as do well with it considerin...
There are a lot of firearm owners who are not really shooters, they buy a rifle for all the wrong reasons and are just a statistic. With over 450 registered firearms owners in the district we should have been over-run, even if you allow for 50% shotgun and pistol shooters. I...

[bruce moulds.
Bruce, Like you, I'm uncomfortable about the possibility of F-Class being changed away from what it is - maybe there's a way of opening up our ranges to different shooting disciplines whilst retaining TR and F-Class unchanged. Regardless of what people are saying we need to li...

Looks good Seddo, certainly bought the flat earth society out! Can't believe the drivel that Bruce is sprouting, It's OK for him to turn up on the line & shoot his blackpowder clunker & expect everyone to be overawed (HoHumm) But if he thinks that the tree hugger's will differentiate between...

Seddo,
I'm using 40grns of 2208 behind a 174 Hornady FMJBT for SSAA military rifle and that load regulates pretty well in my No4 Mk1, my rifle has a 2 groove barrel and seems to like 2208 a lot have previously used 2206 & 2206H with acceptable results but it seems to prefer 2208.
