WTS LH Accuracy international Stock copy

For sale is the accuracy international chassis copy that I made. It has been machined for a left handed Remington 700 Short action. I had the stock on hand so the dimensions are almost exact except for the butt stock. It has a three way adjustable butt stock. All alluminium is cerakoted black and it...

Re: Tikka T3 trigger spring

I used a Yo Dave spring and was happy running at 1pound with no creep. Could have gone a little lighter but it suited my purposes. A google search will yield results.

Re: Nosler rdf

I have found that in my 260 they like zero jump or 110thousands Nothing in between was fantastic. I shoot prs so I can’t jamb them as it is not unusual to have to unload. I chambered my 260 with a short throat to run well with mags so at 110 thousand they were set to far back in the case for my liki...

Re: What Precision or Tactical Rifle setup do you use

Of course if you own a good second focal plane scope run what you have. If you are looking to setup a PRS rig and have the funds for a new scope seriously consider first focal plane. Jeez you talk some crap John. Why didn't you shoot pistol on the weekend? Regards jb Jb out of all the pos...

Re: What Precision or Tactical Rifle setup do you use

Yes Friday is allocated for practice. Camping at the range if you want. You can store your rifle in the armoury if you feel safer. 200 rounds is roughly what you need for the match. We are currently working on the sponsors for this year so arn’t sure on what the door prize will be yet or who will ge...

Re: What Precision or Tactical Rifle setup do you use

Here comes a shamesless plug. This was last year’s two day shoot. The Nightforce Practical Rifle challenge. This will give you an idea of some of the courses of fire. 35 shooters $15000 worth of sponsor ship giveaways including and accuracy international AX to the winner of the door prize. https://y...

Re: What Precision or Tactical Rifle setup do you use

It is rare to have to use the recticle for ranging in a prs match. They are known distances but there are lots of different distances in one stage. The recticle is used for holdovers. Some stages we shoot you are not allowed to touch your turrets as part of the course of fire but most stages you jus...

Re: What Precision or Tactical Rifle setup do you use

Daj
With a 15 power scope you will never have a problem being fixed at that power so your scope is a great compromise. 15 power is a bit light on when the ranges get out there a bit on small targets but that might only be one stage in a 2 day comp.

Re: What Precision or Tactical Rifle setup do you use

Tim you will not regret using a Tikka action. They are very accurate, smooth and feed perfectly from acis mags. I started with a Bushnell XRS 4.5 -30 scope with a G2 recticle. It was what I could afford at the time and it was a fantastic scope. The adjustments were true and the glass pretty good. I ...

Re: What Precision or Tactical Rifle setup do you use

Depending on the stage I am normally at just under 20x, around 18x. If you have a lot of moving to do and a lot of targets to find sometimes lower. The other thing that I didn’t mention is that the average 12 seconds per shot normally involves a change of position and maybe even some activity that w...

Re: What Precision or Tactical Rifle setup do you use

Sorry guys I may have my disciplines slightly confused. In PRS we shoot at multiple targets at different distances in one string. Average shot time 12 seconds. For instance you may engage a target at 300m then 400m, then 500m then back to 200meters. In these instances you use to recticle to perform ...

Re: What Precision or Tactical Rifle setup do you use

Don’t even consider a second focal plane scope. On many stages you aren’t allowed or don’t have time to adjust your turrets. If you get a second focal plane scope you can only use one power setting which is less then ideal. Anything other then mil turrets and a mil type recticle is just making thing...

Re: What Precision or Tactical Rifle setup do you use

If you shoot past 500meters a 6.5mm caliber is the way to go. If you are going to only shoot out to 500meters a 308 doesn’t give anything away balistically and has better barrel life and cheaper reloading components. 260 rem, 6.5 cm and 6.5 x 47lapua are very popular and very competitive choices. 6m...
