Re: another discipline

Paul, As someone who joined an NRAA club twelve years ago, I learnt more about shooting in those few years than I ever did as a hunter over sixty years. During my club time I enjoyed shooting FStd, FO and FTR, and made many wonderful friends. When the NRAA added Hunter Class to the SSRs I thought &...

Re: another discipline

ok so i stated that you need to read my posts, clearly thats difficult,i stated that i am a target rifle shooter clearly in my first post! secondly the only mistake i made that seems to have gotten you so upset was saying you use a fancy rest,i retract fancy and will call it just a rest. i was merely...

Re: another discipline

first of all keep your pants on i didn't at any stage suggest that it didn't take skill to shoot that discipline. also yes i do not shoot f class, all i am suggesting is this may or my not be something that could help with exciting people and bring them to our sport. i never intended to upset anybody...

Re: another discipline

So FTR is still where you put a mat down to support the fancy rest and you still have a rear bag, would it not excite new members to actually be part of the rifle and then draw on experience and skill to get great scores. so many things have been suggested to increase our numbers maybe just maybe peo...

another discipline

hi there, i would like to ask a question and it is one that i don't understand why it has never been put forward. with our struggling numbers, especially the drop off in f class shooters that don't seem to be attending big shoots in the numbers that they once did is it time for another discipline? i...

Re: 6 br additional calibre

hi barry, i realise that change is inevitable and to move forward and prosper we must look at ways that can aid us as a movement but for heavens sake you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see this just is not a great idea. im all but over these rule changes and are slowly getting very tired of ...

6 br additional calibre

i read with dismay that the now new board will be bringing out a discussion paper on bringing out yet another rule change in the form of another calibre for target rifle. i do not know enough about 6br but i figure this could be a game changer from 3-6 for us tr shooters if it was to be ratified. i ...

Re: RIP Rob Richards-Mousley

Sad,Sad day for Richards-Mousley family and a great loss for the South Australian Rifle Association. Always someone that you would stop and listen to and a more passionate man of our sport you would never meet. A great example of someone that was at the top of his game at TR and then transitioned ov...

Re: E CLASS. BUDGET F CLASS

Do we ever stop to think about the poor buggers that have to organize prize shoots and get trophies for all these events? Are we busting down the doors with participants at all disciplines at prize shoots that the only thing left to do is bring in another class. Somehow i think we need to be looking...

Re: Match rifle and NSW queens

hi Rod, I commented or started this topic a while back questioning these ethics and was hammered down by a keyboard warrior from over here. I personally can not understand why people can not consider others when thinking of programming events. i realise there maybe certain situations that come into ...

Re: nraa funding of overseas shooting

"tr shooters seem to go to ground when this subject arises which adds suspicion." ok bruce, i try really hard not to get emotional with some of this stuff. you say we target shooters go to ground over these issues! we just don't complain and don't try to reinvent the wheel, we just shoot. ...
