Re: Bored ! 300 rum 230 gr loads please ?

Rod The Hornady ATips claim BC which I did not believe however were right on at 1650M according to my program. They were a full 2 1/2 moa higher than the 230 H Berger that day at slightly lower Vo than the Berger too! I have never been been a fan of Hornady match pills but these A Tips are very cons...

Re: Bored ! 300 rum 230 gr loads please ?

You need a Firearms Licence to purchase projectiles in Qld
Currently if RE1 licence you also need a property / farm owner letter allowing use over their property

Re: Bored ! 300 rum 230 gr loads please ?

Graham I have a 300 Norma and began with 230 Hybrids I have not had nearly enough time with it as rare to get to stretch its legs Shot it a couple of times at 1650 M and it is so darn good it is boring? I found Reloader 33 to be the best velocity / pressure powder solution Last time out I tried a fe...

Re: The inevitable price rise is here

ouch !!!!! 17.5% is a ripp offfffffffffff but we always are getting stung with our piss poor exchange rate Not that long ago we were .80C USD to 1 AUD Currently we are battling along at .60USD and it did plummet to .55USD only 10 days ago or so. That represents a 25% drop minimum so 17.5% is not a ...

Re: Reading mirage

Mozzie My main consideration with spotting scopes is eye relief. Most are too short for use with glasses and have very short eye relief. Many are also available with interchangeable eyepieces Thus it is possible to maybe get longer eye relief and larger FOV or wide angle which is a benefit I would s...

Re: 204 short - off topic

I chased a 75 action for years and eventually chambered one in standard 204
The 75 magazine is longer than the 85
However, it has a 1/8 twist to enable running 55gr Bergers and they still require single loading!
I really love that caliber for rabbits as one can spot hits due to light recoil.

Re: Newbie needing some advice

Hi Julian I haven't competed at PRS but been watching on sidelines . I think you need a 10 round mag and regardless of caliber I would use a brake. You need to spot the hits/ misses yourself for any correction required. I set up a Tikka CTR with the 24" barrel in 6.5CM to mess with but never go...
