gday
ive been trying a lot of different shooting disciplines,
from a few different shooting associations.
ive been giving fullbore a go,and have found it to be the type of shooting i want to be doing, but due to physical limitations,i will be shooting fclass as soon as i can get my rifle set up.
i have an omark .308 ,action in good condition with a black mountain barrel, which will be ok for now.
ive been emailed a contact for a tappered scope base.thanks
the stock has a sporter type forend,
what can i attach to the forend to ride the rest better?
ill get a bipod type rest and a rear bag.
it will wear a cheapish scope, for this cheap rifle, but what magnification should i get,the local range goes out to 700
lots of questions, any help will be appreciated
thanks steve
another, new to fclass

stevemc,
Firstly you need to fit an accessory rail to forend.
This will then allow you to either fit a flat plate max 3" wide x 10mm thick to run in sand bags on a rest, or attach a bipod.
There is no such item as a good cheap scope.
Don't waste you money on a cheap one. Expect to pay $800 + or you may pick up a good used one but have somebody check it out for you before purchase.
Minimum magnification to be useful at long ranges is 16x but 20x is better.
