Loan of a flex pod

#1 Postby Tim N » Thu Oct 11, 2018 8:13 pm

Hi All,
Project 300 and something.....
I’m building an FTR gun and would like to try a flex pod before buying one just to try it.
If you have one gathering dust I’d be keen to have a loan/hire
Here’s hoping :)
Thanks
Tim

Hey Tim,
I have a Joypod that I'll be selling soon, you can try that if you want it.

A flexing bipod does not sound like a good idea. We went to great length to eliminate flex when designing mine (Auspod).

Tim, I think shooting off a flex-pod is a great idea and you should definitely use one if you are going to get serious about FTR. They are all the rage here is SA. You obviously noticed we were all using them at the Queens you attended. :)

Well Barossa- that settles it! A flex pod is the way to go
I like camping in the rain and doing some other things not many do but it’s all about the adventure
Rod Mahooon uses one and his sanity has only been questioned a few times.

Chris
I’ll be watching you new product with interest
Good on you for following through with your idea

Thanks.I think success with something like a Flexpod will be very dependant on if you free recoil or not. I cant imagine them working well for free recoil, not consistently anyway.

Chris
I think the idea with the flex pod is to shoot it with some shoulder pressure so not free recoil.

Geoff
I accept your challenge you filthy Victorian.
We might have to fight this duel at the SA Queen’s as I won’t have a barrel till December :D

Ya varmint
Not sure about the chaps and spurs but you get the idea 8)
I may also need to borrow your bipod (that’s why the insults are only mild)
