F Std. Illuminated reticles.

#1 Postby Omark44boy » Mon Mar 22, 2021 5:54 pm

I have read tnrough tne SSRs and cannot find any rule mentioning the use of illuminated reticles, but I may have missed something.

Can one use an illuminated reticle in F Std?

Reason for asking: I often lose sight of the centre dot in my scope & want to see if using the illuminated reticle function on my Nightforce Benchrest 12-42 x will help in bright sunlight (NP-2DD reticle). I know that it is designed for low light use &/or dark targets so thought that it might be worth a go.

I do not want to find that it is better for my eyes & then find out that it is against the rules.

There is nothing in the rules against illuminated reticles.
