Shooting mats

#1 Postby RDavies » Fri Nov 04, 2016 1:19 pm

It seems my faithful old shooting made has inadvertently gone to someone seemingly more needy than myself so I am looking for a new mat. The ones I see on QRA and NSWRA store have the straps at the front and back so it makes it hard to carry our gear in the mat compared to the ones with the straps on the sides. Does anyone out there know of any other mats available out there to have a look at? Maybe something a little wider around the legs might be handy as well.

Rod,

Joe "Balls" makes quite a few in Vic. He can custom make whatever you like, within reason.

He is a bit averse to yellow I think. Or he simply doesn't have much call for that color :D

I think I could follow your instructions Alan.
Step 1. Get big piece of carpet.
Step 2. Lay down on it. :D

Thanks for the link on Balls canvas, Mike, I have some ideas there he might be able to do.

I ordered a custom mat with Balls Canvas. I haven't heard back from them for a while but I'm hoping they will make what I am after. If not, I will give you a call Paul
